Expecting "A"

Having Presidents Day as an unexpected day off meant I could sneak in this maternity shoot right at 38 weeks! You wouldn't know it by the look of her though! We had a great shoot despite the dark skies and pouring rain. Thank goodness for those studio lights!
I always love the hands shot...



These two need to be framed together...its like a little story, you can see Big brother's mind racing...so you say I have a sister...in there? Can I hear her?




and yes...he's a child prodigy...check out his spelling abilities (wink!)

Expecting Twin Girls

It was a a perfect shoot for a dark rainy day! That didn't stop us from celebrating the impending arrival of these identical twin girls. I can't wait to meet them! Big sister and big brother are quite excited...although I think their big sister is REALLY excited...I'm not sure she knows what she's in for! Here's a sneak peek, hopefully it will brighten these last few weeks before the twins come..."A" is only 31 weeks here...so there is still some growing to do...and I remember how hard those last weeks were! Hang in there A!

Expecting A

Its been such a pleasure to get to shoot so many maternity sessions recently! I think its such an awesome way to remember how special it is to be pregnant. While it seems at times to be forever, those 9 months really are just a fleeting memory to me now...I wish I had thought about having maternity pictures done when I was pregnant!
I think you can tell they are expecting their first son...the anticipation with a first born is unparalleled. And I'm SURE he'll be a sharks fan too!

J's Maternity

I was so glad to be able to sneak in J's maternity session over presidents day weekend! I am really tweaking my home studio now, and I just LOVE the control I have of the lighting, and its so easy to try a variety of looks because everything we need is right there! J is just a gorgeous mama to be, and was up for anything I could dream up! We even did some GORGEOUS semi-nude, mermaid type (hair covering) that I thought might be a bit much for the blog...but WOW! I LOVE it. She also brought a bunch of fun scarves that we just played with different ways to twist/tie/hold around her! And I'm just loving my new wraps(and a super duper thanks to my friend Christina, who I practiced on HER maternity shots first...those are coming to the blog soon!)

C maternity

Another maternity session means lots of holiday babies! We had a fun time shooting these, with their "furbaby" always close by! So we had to get him in on some of the shots!
